Re: New Housemates !!
Nice looking discus.
I parked a couple of wild caught male zebras in a tank with a discus pair for many years. They were the two I had in 2006 when I got my breeding group which I could not take on the risk of messing up the pecking order caused by introducing two new gents to the group. I did not want to risk halting the spawning.
I am pretty sure discus will eat zebra fry given the chance.

What makes the common person uncommon is common sense.

Any shots of the full tank? I also see Cories in there. Tank looks really nice and clean!

You're probably right about the Discus eating Zebra fry, I'm not sure but there's never been any sign of the Zebras spawning so far. If they do start I'll have to decide what to do.

I'll try to get a descent photo' of the whole tank tomorrow.jsalas623 wrote:Any shots of the full tank? I also see Cories in there. Tank looks really nice and clean!
Yes the Cory's you see are 4 Sterbai Cory's.
There's also a few Pygmaeus & Hastatus Cory's both a few years old now plus some Ember, Green Neon & Rummynose Tetras. Also 2 Whiptails.
These are all the last of some nice shoals of each type that have lived with the Zebras for the last 3 years.
As they slowly died off I left off replacing them so that I would have room for some Discus.
I finally bought 6 Discus 2 weeks ago and I'm very pleased with them.
